Freedom Speakers International (FSI) now has two North Korean refugees working part-time in our office. Even before we had the budget for it, we made it a point to have at least one North Korean refugee as a part-timer or on staff.
One of the North Korean refugees working in our office has gotten busy with his business and will need to resign. Another North Korean refugee working part-time in our office is working on a project that will expire later this year.
We are seeking to hire a North Korean refugee as a full-time staffer, meaning the person will also get full health insurance coverage (part-timers are not eligible for that). Please help this become a reality by becoming a monthly donor.
In our history, we have had several North Korean refugees work in our office either as part-timers or full-time staffers, including:
Jinmi, staff assistant (winner of our 7th English Speech Contest)
Jeong-cheol Lee, staff assistant (winner of our 14th English Speech Contest)
Sharon Jang, accountant (author of "Girl with Black Makeup")
Eunju Kim, accountant (winner of our 3rd English speech contest)
Jahee, academic coordinator
Eunhee Park, Development Coordinator (winner of our 9th English Speech Contest)
Songmi Han, Special Assistant (winner of our 16th English speech contest and co-author with Casey Lartigue of "Greenlight to Freedom)
Yeongnam Eom, FSI Fellow (author of Strongest Soldier of North Korea)
Myeonghee Kim, Project Coordinator (winner of our 19th English Speech Contest)
